Heli Skiing is one of the best experiences a skier will ever have.  Alaska and Canada are some of the best places to try it. There are a few operations in the US outside of Alaska. Europe, Turkey, Nepal, Russia, and India also have helicopter skiing operations.

Many people think heliski is about jumping out of a helicopter, but the helicopter actually lands on the slope to let the skiers get out. Then the guide unloads the skis, the skiers huddle together and the helicopter lifts off and flies to the bottom of the intended descent to pick the skiers up again.
