Laura Thomas

Laura is from Sutton, New Hampshire and a graduate of Saint Lawrence University. She grew up ski racing and is an instructor and backcountry ski guide in training at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. She is a member of the training staff and works as a PSIA-intermountain Alpine and Children’s specialist examiner. She is married to the manager of the Children’s Ski School at Jackson and has an adorable shepherd malamute named Hanu. She is currently in pursuit of a full IFMGA certification and guides in the backcountry. Skiing and the mountains are her true passion in life.

Nato Emerson

Like many of his clients, Nathan “Nato” Emerson first came to Jackson Hole on a ski vacation. While riding the Thunder chairlift he surveyed his surroundings and determined that he had stumbled upon the place he would call home. He has lived in Jackson since November of 1988.

Born and raised in Danvers, Massachusetts, Nato attended the University of Colorado for his freshman year before transferring to and graduating from Colby College in Waterville, Maine. An avid and accomplished skier, Nato has taught skiing at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort since 1988 where he is acknowledged as one of the premier instructors. He is active with Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) as a certification examiner and with USSA as a certified race coach. He has been instrumental in the success of many internationally recognized skiers and snowboarders, including a stint coaching at the World Cup level as Head Coach of the USA Snowboard Racing Team.  He is married to former World Cup athlete Lindsay Lloyd, and they have two daughters; Quincy is 7 and Reese is 3.
Nathan has been an active Realtor since 1999, and has participated in the sales success of several resort developments in Teton Village. He specializes in helping his clients strike the perfect blend of vacation home ownership and an active Jackson Hole lifestyle.

Brenna Kelleher

Brenna Kelleher grew up in Big Sky, Montana, USA, and spent her formative years racing FIS, NORAM, and NCAA. Along with being a part of the competitive skiing community, during the summer she found herself on the rivers and traveling to whitewater competitions around the world. She became a World Champion freestyle whitewater kayaker in Spain (2001) while continuing to carry on with her ski racing career at Montana State University as an NCAA athlete.

In 2003, Brenna retired from ski racing but felt a void and decided to take up teaching and coaching skiing, later earning herself a spot as the examiner coach on the NRM Ed staff. Brenna continues to be a pillar in the ski racing community and is currently on the Professional Ski Instructors of America’s Alpine Team. She loves to inspire people to not only ski better but to learn to ski to the best of their abilities. She spends her winters traveling and spreading her passion for skiing to fellow instructors and coaching clients in Big Sky and beyond. By sharing her skiing passion and teaching those around her how to properly navigate challenging terrain, she assists skiers by boosting their confidence, helping them achieve their skiing goals with ease.
