For centuries the Hotel Almhof Schneider, Lech has been a modest mountain farm house in the remote valley of the Lech river. The story of their family in Lech goes back to the year 1451 and the earliest days of there being a settlement. Spanning four generations, since 1929 the Almhof has accommodated guests from all over the world who are made to feel at home and have become regular visitors returning year after year. Whilst the hotel has grown and embraced a discreet luxury one still feels that it is a family business where the sense of being a personal friend of the family is very much alive.
In the 18 rooms and 35 suites you will experience a quality of living enhanced by the the timber and stones of the region and the simple and functional forms of alpine architecture. Panelling of alpine fir, oiled walnut, Salzburg limestone, open fire places, antique alpine furniture and handmade beds: designed with a great passion for detail and crafted by a handful of companies who have been working with us for years. The perfection of workmanship and the use of genuine and superior traditional materials seem to be as contemporary as they have always been.
