Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Wyoming is well known for its steep terrain. One "run" off the Jackson Hole Tram called Corbett's Couloir and is like a rite of passage for expert level skiers. Jackson is also famous for their backcountry terrain that is accessed via a gate where the skier acknowledges that they have proper avalanche safety equipment and are doing so at their own risk. The Ski school in Jackson Hole is also famous as one of the best places to learn how to ski steep terrain.

Jackson Hole is next to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park which are famous for wildlife. It is not uncommon to see Moose and other wildlife in Jackson Hole.

The Mangy Moose a restaurant and apres ski bar at the base of the mountain is well known throughout the ski world and is often filled with ski bums and millionaires all together.

The Four Seasons at the base of the mountain is one of the leading hotels along with the Amangani just a little way outside of town and the B Corp certified Hotel Terra.
