Vail Ski Resort

Vail Ski Resort

Vail is one of the largest ski resorts in the world. It is located just 2 hours from Denver Colorado. They have over 5,289 acres of skiable terrain, 7 Back Bowls for advanced skiers and you can access it all from the town of Vail below.

Vail Village is modeled on the typical Austrian or German-style ski village. Pete Seibert was the founder back in 1962. There is a gondola from Vail Village and another base area at Golden Peak.

I70 is the main interstate through the state of Colorado and it runs right past the ski resort. Vail's sister resort is Beaver Creek which is just a few miles down the road and offers luxury accommodations and miles of groomed ski runs.

Vail has a number of private mountain clubs and also offers horse-drawn sleigh rides to fine dining at Beanos Cabin
