Most people know the terrace at The St. Regis Aspen in winter. This summer, Marea Aspen is making the case that it belongs on the warm-weather calendar too.
The coastal Italian restaurant, part of Altamarea Group’s globally recognized Marea portfolio and helmed by Executive Chef PJ Calapa, has launched its Candlelight Concert Series with the acclaimed Aspen String Quartet. The inaugural evening transformed the Marea terrace into a candlelit concert hall, with live strings set against the Colorado sky.
The format is simple and quietly luxurious. Reserve a table for dinner from 7 pm, then settle in for an 8 pm performance. Think pristine crudi, handmade pastas, and a world-class wine list, followed by an hour of music under the stars.
The series runs every other Tuesday through August 18. Remaining dates: July 7, July 21, August 4, and August 18.
For a restaurant best known for its winters, it is a reminder that the mountains are just as worth visiting once the snow melts. Congratulations to the Marea team on a beautiful opening night.
