Bogner Ski Wear Trends 2016-2017
Bogner Ski Wear is the most iconic brand in the snow world. For more than 80 years, they have been setting the pace in the world of ski fashion. Started in 1932 by Willy Bogner senior who was a ski jumper and cross country skier, he combined his passion for sports and business. In 1936, Willy Bonger senior participates in the Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the German Olympic Team begins to wear Bogner.
In 1937 Willy Bogner marries Maria Lux and she makes the Bogner stretch pant a huge sensation on the slopes. In 1964 Willy Bogner Jr. makes the film “Skifaszination” and basically becomes the first skiing choreographer. The talented ski models are all in monochromatic one piece ski suits. Willy Jr. begins to take over the company at this point and in 1986 Bogner Fire and Ice is born.
SNOW meets up with Bogner in Denver to speak to longtime Bogner team member Maryanne Macnamara and Bogner Ambassador Brenda Buglione from Fox TV’s Snow Motion to hear what to be on the lookout for in next season’s collection. From bright colors, to fabulous Saga Furs, there is something for all tastes in the new line.
