As the world’s elite winter athletes prepare for the sport’s biggest stage, Winter Heroes – a new Red Bull TV documentary series released today — looks inside their lives to reveal what truly defines greatness. Beyond medals and podiums, it demonstrates how resilience, purpose, and the courage to continually evolve shape performance long before the starting line.
The series follows 16 elite Red Bull athletes across freeskiing, snowboarding, alpine skiing, ski jumping, speed skating, and ski mountaineering – from record-breaking champions to rising prodigies – exploring the discipline, mental strength, and growth that drive them when no one is watching. Among them: Eileen Gu, Marcel Hirscher, Anna Gasser, Ryōyū Kobayashi, Kjeld Nuis, and a new generation of winter-sports talent redefining what it means to compete at the highest level.
Filmed across homes, training grounds, and competition venues, Winter Heroes captures candid moments with family, friends, and coaches – blending unseen personal footage with rare competition clips. Through the voices of these athletes, the series explores how they stay grounded, motivated, and human in a world that demands perfection.
