‘Tis the Season – Aspen celebrity sightings pt.5
by Little Nellie
Question: What has Aspen got that Donald Trump hasn’t?
Answer: CELEBRITY FRIENDS!
Yes, dear readers, your Local Celebrity Correspondent now, officially, believes in Santa. Along with the exquisitely choreographed snowfall on Christmas Eve (thank you Aspen Ski Co for arranging that piece of magic), we have a flurry of tip-top guests. Take that Donald!
The Rockettes would have joined us too, but all the flights were sold out.
So, let’s begin with the deliciousness of Elton John and LADY GAGA (yessssss!) having lunch at the White House Tavern in downtown Aspen. Oh, and Donald, sorry, but that’s the ONLY White House he’ll be visiting any time soon!
According to our little friends at the Mail, Elton’s “rocking a Gucci bomber jacket” – his second of the visit, but he looks bloody happy, so good for him. He is adorable, and can do no wrong.
Lady G. may have picked up her sequined sweater at the Aspen Thrift Shop, but no complaints from us about that either. She rocks it.
Next, here’s the officially, really, happening Bella Hadid, who defeated our friendly fashionistas at the Mail, who tell us she ‘kept warm with a polo neck jumper and a fluffy jacket which was cropped in length.” How observant they are.
Apparently, “She stopped by Kith to visit friend and designer Ronnie Fieg for dinner at local dinner hotspot, Casa Tua. The former flame of The Weeknd was in high spirits as she chatted to her pals while walking down the street on a perfect winter wonderland vacation away from home.”
Thank you Bella for boosting every business in town, and, indeed, our town itself. You really are, officially, a beautiful and very tall person.
In other news, tiny little Mariah tottered out in high heels, a fishtail dress and a plaid jacket to pop into Ermengildo Zegna and Dolce and Gabbana.
She’s obviously got wind of the local dress code. Next stop, City Market!
It’s almost too exciting, right?
Kudos to our friend Heidi, rocking a Santa hat, and showing us what Aspen’s really there for… Yes, forcing your kids to hike up Smuggler, and then rocketing down (watch out for those little doggy Christmas gifts in the snow as you go!
