The third annual “SNOW Fashion NYC” event presented the top ski wear brands to media across all platforms. Magazines, Websites, TV, Newspaper, Bloggers, etc were all in attendance to see what is in store for the coming winter season. Amanda Russell, fitness and lifestyle expert, was SNOW’s Guest Host and Sport Alm from Kitzbuhel, Austria kicked off the event. They opened with a fabulous “Onsie” that was followed by a super sexy black catsuit. Their fit and fabrics showed that fashion and function can go together hand in hand. Next up was Rossignol with their 1907 collection. As you can see by the date, they have a few years of experience in the winter sports arena. Rossignol continues to create great ski wear year after year. Their new collaboration with recycled fur brand Harricana, was both fun and glamorous. Next up was Nils; they had some great new additions to their colorful jackets and great fitting pants. Absolutely loved the lace inspired pant and jacket. Their looks were paired with partner brand Vitamin A Swim Wear, a favorite of top celebrities including Gweneth Paltrow and Halle Berry. M. Miller‘s line up was all about classic glamour. Tones of cream and black all trimmed with luxurious fur evoked the times when Hollywood came to Sun Valley in the 40’s. Though known for his fur collection, M. Miller’s footwear was also impressive. Skea Limited was next up. Diane Boyer, Skea’s owner and designer, is a world class skier. To boot she has a daughter on the US Ski Team Development Squad, so she is well aware of making products that both look good and work well on the slopes. Her ski skirts were a hit and her color on color combos gave a long and lean silhouette. Snow Sugar blasted onto the stage with the sweetest of looks.  Bright and brash, sexy and fun, you couldn’t miss this brand on the runway. Loved the new long jackets and the bright pinks and yellow greens will have you making an unforgettable entrance. SOS is back! How many of you reading this had an SOS anorak back in the day? The Danish owner and his designer wife have re invented this brand, like only Madonna could.  Their camo prints are hot, hot, hot and their pants all have a low dropped waist with a higher fur lined waistband to keep you warm and cozy. They have a ski skirt as well, but in camo with a matching vest and mittens. Their men’s looks included a bright yellow jacket with cool plaid accents for the accessories. Bogner closed the show with a stunning collection for both men and women. The men’s looks were a great blend of traditional classic designs with a “new school” fit. Loved the corduroy pants! Many of the men’s ski looks were perfect for wearing on the street all winter long. The women’s looks were both fun and playful and sleek and sexy. The Hawaii Aloha collection that started last season evolved into pink polka dots and bold stripes. If  imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, brands around the world pay homage to Bogner in once way or another. And why not? They wrote the book on fashion and design in the ski world.
