Sherpas Cinema has been taking the ski film world by storm lately, producing some of the best films of the decade. Sherpas Cinema went back to their Canadian Roots to create their newest film project, Sculpted in Time. It will be presented as four distinct episodes that will roll out from the end of September through the end of October. Each episode showcases one of the Big Three resorts in the Canadian Rockies. Shepas Cinema has been producing films that push the audience to look inside and reflect. Gone are the days of “ski porn” where endless hours of hucking cliffs were stitched together and put to music. The first episode is called “The Wise Man” and was shot on Mt. Norquay. The story is told through the eyes of a local ski legend that was born the same year that Mt. Norquay was established. The message “The Wise Man” wants to get across is to Start Your Story.

The second episode called “The Character” is shot at the Lake Louise Ski Resort. Big Mountain skiers Eric Hjorleifson and Chris Rubens give tribute to the mountains and the skiers who influenced them and invite the audience to Create Your Legacy.

Episode three moves to scenic Sunshine Village and is called “The Artist”. This segment is about how the art of the natural landscape filled with majestic alpine peaks becomes the inspiration for local artist and skier, Dan Hudson. The mountains become the Muse and you are asked to Carve Your Inspiration.

The final episode is called “The Innovator” and you are treated to vistas of the Canadian Rockies in Banff National Park. This story is told from the point of view of Para-Athlete Christian Bagg, as he journeys to overcome his challenges and achieve his dreams. Often it is not till we test our limits and explore our depths that we know how far we can go. Venturing into the “unknown” is when greatness happens. This episode invites you to Explore Your Unknown
