Luxury Ski Gear Review – Zai  Franco & Testa Skis 2017

SNOW magazine testers put the Zai Franco and Testa skis to see how they paired up to other luxury boutique ski brands. The results were smiles all-around, highlighting the skis stability and responsiveness on piste. These skis show their personality best on short and medium radius turns guaranteeing a smooth and stable ride.

Founded in 2003 by leading Swiss ski designer Simon Jacomet, from the start Zai aimed at building a ski that did not compromise on quality, materials or performance. Zai skis are handcrafted in the Swiss Alps from the very finest materials, including wood, stone and patented carbon fibers. Manufacturing of these skis is driven by three core values: quality, performance and innovation.

The name comes from a Rhaeto-Romanic word meaning ‘tough’. It also symbolises resilience and conviction. Zai follows no trend or tradition, but forges its own path in design, development and manufacture.
