High Altitude Skin Hydration

Whether it is summer or winter, skin is easily dehydrated. From central heating and cold winds in winter to the sun and air conditioning in summer, your skin takes a beating. Caffeine, alcohol, and pollution also take a toll on your skin. Hydration is your best weapon. Below are some tips on skin hydration so your skin will look great. Some are totally natural, others get a little help from Adventuress Skin Care and science.

Water & Green Tea

Herbal green tea contains Vitamin C which means it re hydrates your skin quicker than water. Drink up to three cups of caffeine-free green tea a day. Lemon water rehydrates the skin better than just a glass of tap, even “Aspen Tap”! Lemons contain vitamin C, so your skin is receiving a double dose of moisture. At the end of the day, water is always the best choice. Drinking eight glasses of lemon water a day always does the trick.

Adventuress Skin Care Wickedly Protective EnviroBalm

Wickedly Protective EnviroBalm is infused with shea butter, olive oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract (and) Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil and other hydrating ingredients to keep skin hydrated. Beeswax, also a key ingredient, locks in the moisture, so you are left with well nourished and hydrated skin. In addition, Wickedly Protective EnviroBalm is packed with mollients, protective free-radicals and anti-inflammatory ingredients that work as an environmental shield to protect your skin from the effects of the environment. This formula can be used as a lip balm too! It is silicone, fragrance and petroleum free. ($19, www.goadventress.com)

Fruits & Vegetables

Eating fruits and vegetables that are packed with vitamins A, C, and E, such as leafy greens, spinach, kale, and brussel sprouts will benefit you inside and out. Vitamin A rich fruits such as apples, oranges, and tomatoes are another great way to keep skin well hydrated. Fruits and vegetables with a high water content, such as cucumbers, celery, and watermelon are your skin’s best friends.
