Each year SNOW holds a ski test on Aspen Mountain to find the Best Skis 2017 – 2018 Kaestle LX85 All-mountain ski got put to the test. The results were smiles all over, testers found this ski to be a very responsive flexible ski that can perform well for different level skiers in a variety of conditions including crud and bumps, slush and carving on piste. This is one of the best skis 2017 – 2018 – Kaestle.

Here is what tester Megan Bourke, she pro and past PSIA Demo Team member had to say: “Holy Cow! What a fun high performance front side ski. This is a fabulous carving ski with powerful and confidence building edge hold. This ski is terrific for a high end skier who loves to ski all terrain at a high level, but particularly fun for fast cruising and carving. Bless whomever made this ski!”

From Kaestle: “The new LX85, with classic sidewall construction, has been developed for the all-mountain comfort category. It combines unimaginable ease with stable skiability. A perfect choice for skiers looking for a light, easy-turning ski for the whole season.”

As with all Kaestle skis, they feature Hollowtech technology. A patented, key technology that is unique to ski manufacturing. By removing unneeded layers in the front of the ski, it makes the ski lighter. This results in several advantages: the ski becomes up to 30 % damper, the ski feels more stable, edge-grip is more powerful, steering is more precise and the overall weight is reduced. Beginning this year, Kaestle is equipping all skis with the larger HOLLOWTECH 2.0 — with the size of each Hollowtech adapted to individual model lines. A larger design for even better performance.
